Humidifier vs Vaporizer: Which One Should You Use Next Time You’re Sick?

Humidifier versus Vaporizer: Which One is Best for You?

The air during fall and winter gets chilly and snow has fallen on some places. With winter comes really cold and dry air which can make it hard to breathe. And even if the air isn’t that dry outside, your artificial cooling or heating system inside your house can reduce the moisture in the air. Dry air can sometimes aggravate allergies and asthma which can be really annoying and potentially harmful.

The human body is made up mostly of water and a lot of parts of the body have to retain a certain amount of moisture to function properly. Drinking water is a good way to counteract dehydration but that is not the only way to do so. Your body can absorb moisture from the air around you, that’s why it’s so important to keep the air in your home with just enough moisture to keep your skin hydrated while still being comfortable.

And dry air not only makes you uncomfortable and susceptible to illnesses, it can also damage your home itself. Furniture, especially those made from wood, also need a certain amount of moisture so that it won’t break or become weak. The same goes for wooden floors, too much moisture can damage them, but not enough can make them brittle and crack. And paint could also be a victim too.

Winter will come no matter what you do and if you’re afraid of your air becoming stale and dry, you can get yourself a humidifier or vaporizer to keep your home moist. There are several kinds of humidifiers that a consumer can choose from but they all basically do the same thing which is keeping your air nice and moist.
